I am so proud of every one of my students this weekend!  We had 3 amazing recitals, and missed those who could not be with us!  I was able to hand out several gold cups, including the first 45 points cups from our studio!  Congratulations to Bennett Harkness and Maxwell Irvine for your hard work!  We also did our 50 days of practice raffle!!  Thomas Packer was the lucky winner of the 50$ raffle prize!!  Aubrey Wolsey won the 20$ prize and Olivia Orme won the 10$ prize.  I am impressed with all of the students who put forth the effort to practice so consistently the last couple of months - it really showed in the way you played. 

Congratulations to everyone on a successful festival and recital!

Every student in our studio participated in the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival last weekend and did amazing!  We have been preparing for months for this event!  All students are required to memorize and perform 2 contrasting pieces in front of 3 judges.  Students earn points according to their score!  This year, I had many students chosen to play in the Honors Recital.  They were amazing!  Great work, Nora Harkness, Coy Harkness, Sam Merkley, Drew Johnson, Kate Hoxer, Bennett Harkness, Mylie Harkness, Morgan Merkley, Olivia Orme, Emily Austin, Amelia Barksdale, Gretel Broadbent, Anders Broadbent, Elena Barksdale, Maxwell Irvine, Mollie Gibby and Miles Irvine!  Way to represent our studio so well!

Being a musician at Christmas-time is the best!  I love the music of the holiday season so much and being a musician means that I get to immerse myself in music for the whole season! Our studio Christmas recitals were a great part of that!  I am always so proud of my students, each one played so well.  Watching my students grow from month to month and year to year, truly gives me such joy!  

Way to go everyone!  Thank you for sharing your talents this season!
